Quickball Coed (4 year olds): Our entry-level division where boys and girls play together. The focus is on fun and fundamentals! There is 1 session (practice first, with a "game" following) per week on Saturdays. We typically have 4-6 teams for this level. The sessions are held on the T-Ball Field at our Monument Avenue complex. This fast-paced level, utilizes small groups to rotate through 4 stations for practice at the beginning of each session, with a "game" that focuses on the learned skills at the end of each session.
T- Ball Coed (5 year olds): Another entry-level division where boys and girls play together. The focus is very much still on fun and fundamentals. A true introduction into the game of baseball, children will learn the basic skills and understand the different positions. There is one weekday practice (during the evening) per team and 1 game on Saturdays. We typically have 4-6 teams for this level so it depends which team you end up on that will determine your practice day for the season. The games and practices are held on the T-Ball Field at our Monument Avenue complex. Batters use the Tee throughout the season.
Rookie (6 year olds): A step up from T-Ball, also for both boys and girls combined, this coach-pitch division focuses on further developing basic skills and understanding of the game. Having fun remains a priority for this division. There is one weekday practice (during the evening) per team and 1 game on Saturdays, occasionally Sundays. We typically have 5-6 teams for this level so it depends which team you end up on that will determine your practice day for the season. All games and practices are held at our Mill Road Complex.
AA (7 & 8 year olds): In AA the game starts to feel like real baseball. Predominantly machine-pitch, we do ease the older kids into pitching (and catching) so they are prepared for AAA. This is the first level where we begin keeping score, standings and crown a champion. To ensure balanced teams, we conduct a player evaluation at the beginning of the season and hold a player draft. A strong focus on fundamentals and sportsmanship begins to take root in this division. Each team has 1 practice per week (during the evening) and typically 1, 6-inning game on Saturday, sometimes Sunday. All games and practices are held at our Mill Road Complex.
AAA (9 & 10 year olds): Our 1st fully kid-pitch level. Competition and skill variation become more evident in this division. Similar to AA, score and standings are kept but the teams are slightly more competitive. To ensure balanced teams, we conduct a player evaluation at the beginning of the season and hold a player draft. The focus shifts to more instruction and game situational awareness. Each team has 1 practice per weekday evening and a 6-inning game on Saturday, sometimes Sunday. Later in the season games will take the place of team practices. Games and practices are held at our Mill Road and Monument Avenue Complex.
Majors (11 & 12 year olds): This is the age division associated with the Little League World Series. These games are highly competitive and showcase a good level of all-around play. At this level we schedule games against neighboring Little Leagues so there is a bit more travel. Typically, there are 1-2 practices and 1-2 games per week. Home games and practices are played at Monument Lower (McAdoo) Field.
Juniors (13 & 14 year olds): In this division, our teenagers “move up” to the so-called 60’/90’ “big” field. To avoid conflicts with school teams, our games are traditionally played on weekends only and practices are limited to one recurring (same) day each week. Games are played among other District 27 teams, typically 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Games and practices are held at Monument Upper (Darlington) Field.
Seniors (15 & 16 year olds): This is our oldest division. Games are played traditionally on weekends and practice is once or twice per week. Games are very competitive and played amongst the District 27 teams, typically 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Games and practices are held at Monument Upper (Darlington) Field.
